Hue Pick – Privacy Policy

Hue Pick is a browser extension for picking colors on web pages. It is published by Štěpán Ševčík, Znojmo, Czech Republic (contact: stepan@grafikasevcik.cz).

What data the extension handles

The extension runs only on the tab where you click Pick, use the keyboard shortcut or click Extract (activeTab permission). To let you pick a pixel, it takes a screenshot of the visible part of that tab; the screenshot stays in your browser and is discarded when you finish picking. To build a page palette, it reads the computed colors of elements on that page. Nothing is sent to any server.

Your color history, saved palettes and settings are stored only locally in your browser (chrome.storage).

Payments for the optional Pro upgrade are processed by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com) and Stripe. To check whether you have paid, the extension contacts ExtensionPay with an anonymous install key; if you log in to restore a purchase, ExtensionPay uses your email address. What we do not do

We do not sell or share your data, we do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not run analytics or tracking in the extension.
